The Summer Semester’s Design Studio “Foetz is dead. Long live Foetz”, supervised by Florian Hertweck, Markus Miessen and Marija Maric, is conceived in the framework of the call for tender “Luxembourg in Transition” launched by the Ministry of Energy and Spatial Development. It will emphasise on the transformation of one of the most dystopian legacies in Luxembourg of the fossil age: Foetz, next to the highway A4 and the city of Esch, a commercial and industrial zone with decorated sheds and huge parking facilities, where the government plans in the future to route the tramway.
