Lecture Kees Christiaanse on 25 years Zwischenstadt

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the publication of Thomas Sieverts’ groundbreaking book on Die Zwischenstadt, the University of Luxembourg, TU Munich, Bauhaus Universität Weimar, and TU Vienna have joined forces in the teaching to explore with students what the term still means today, how Zwischenstädte are represented, and most importantly, how we as architects and urban planners can operate in Zwischenstädte today to actively transform them in the face of climate change, resource scarcity and social inequalities.
