Sara Volterrani
With the central role of facilitating the smooth running and continued development of the Master Sara Volterrani, Study Programme Coordinator, is responsible for the student community in all aspects of the Programme. Hers is the task of ensuring that the study programme team is fully supported and has every available resource close to hand. Having experience gained from working in the Dean’s office, she is well acquainted with the academic environment and can provide a wealth of useful and practical knowledge about the University of Luxembourg. This is coupled with an equally rich experience as an executive level PA in a variety of businesses in both the public and private sectors. She is able to call on first-hand knowledge of fields as diverse as waste management and tourism, banking and private equity as well as electronic component sales and the pharmaceutical industry. Sara’s other professional experiences are equally varied and no less impressive. Internationally, she has been actively involved in the establishment of the Singapore branch for the Landesbank Baden-Wurttemberg (LBBW) Luxembourg S.A.,building a state-of-the art waste-to-energy plant in Treviso for SOTEC GmbH, preparing an initial public offering (IPO) for KKR Inc. and implementing an SAP roll-out for AVNET Inc. Her experience is further strengthened by her proficiency in 4 major European languages, English, German, French and Italian. She also holds a degree in modern languages specialising in translation and is a certified Prince2 PM.
