The exhibition in Linz am Rhein was addressed to a non technical audience. The structure of architecture projects were adapted to the general public, journalists, and politicians. The main narrative highlighted the ecological value of the valley, the dynamics of the river that naturally floods, and the historical relationship of human-made urban development with the river in particular and the valley in general. A video projection with material from the students' project set a series of “What if…” questions, inviting the public to imagine what if our relationship with the river changes. What if instead of dominating it, we give its space to be free. The proposals from the students included: New urban hybrid public areas, buildings with different programs, the use of urban wetlands, the introduction of buffer riparian zones, and new housing and infrastructural typologies.
